SSIPMT’s MBA program is pivoted on the opportunities it opens up before the students on successful completion of the program. Guest Lectures/ Seminars

Guest Lectures are a platform where in the students gain an insight into the current industry trends & practices. Representatives from leading companies and academic institutions visit the campus and address the students. Some of the recent visits by experts from industry & academia include: Prof. Debdatta Pal (Assistant Professor, IIM Lucknow; Fellow, IIM Ahmedabad), Dr. Saket Ranjan Praveer (Professor, WS University, Ministry of Education, Ethiopia), Dr. L. P. Pateria (Dean & Professor, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya), Prof. T. Sai Vijay (Fellow, IIM Raipur), Dr. R.P. Das (Director, School of Management Studies, Pt. RSU, Raipur), Mr. Himanshu Agrawal (E-commerce Head – CG, HDFC Bank).


Workshops are a part of SSIPMT’s holistic approach of preparing the students for success. Workshops build a learning atmosphere among the students where they are exposed to the latest trends and practically learn the various facets of ever evolving business world. Some of the recent workshops conducted by SSIPMT are:

  • Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) conducted a 3-day workshop for MBA students on securities market in their Raipur Local Office. Mr. U. Ramesh (Manager, SEBI) held interactive sessions on SEBI’s role in streamlining the functioning of securities market. (September 2017)
  • SSPS Workshop: Dr. Teena Bagga (Professor, Amity Business School) held a workshop at SSIPMT’s campus on basic and advanced statistical analysis by SPSS software which has a wide use in research and business analytics. (March 2017)
  • Karvy Stock Broking Ltd. conducted a 2-day comprehensive financial workshop SEAL (Student Engagement & Applied Learning) on in-depth understanding of financial markets for SSIPMT’s students. (November 2016)

Industrial Visits

“Seeing is believing”. Visiting leading industrial and corporate setups situated across the length and breadth of the state like Monnet ISPAT, Vossloh Cogifer .net, Bhilai Steel Plant is a deeply anchored habit. It assists in the learning process and provides a lasting impression.

MBA 1st year students visited Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Raipur. It was an enthralling experience for the students to learn how SEBI works. They also gained insight on the evolution of Stock Market and working of Mutual Funds.


Live Projects

“Tell me and I’ll forget, show me and I may remember, involve me and I’ll understand”. Live projects are a chief source of learning how to apply theory in to practice. Our understanding with retail stores, banks, NBFCs and FMCG majors have yielded rich dividends. Thereby our students have had a fresh, hands on stints at corporate like Raipur Treasure Island Pvt. Ltd. Zee 24 Ghante, National Institute of Banking & Finance and lots more.
